AIB Merchant Services need a brand refresh that was crisp, modern and translated across various platforms
AIB Merchant Services’ branding badly needed updating. The current branding was dated looking and, worse still, it no longer conformed to AIB’s corporate brand guidelines. The decision was made to tender out the rebranding. The brief was to create a brand that was identifiably AIB, but also uniquely Merchant Services.
Quick Brown Fox successfully won the tender. We approached the problem of creating a brand that was identifiable and unique by basing the rebrand around the use of the AIB “yellow” corporate colour. This key element was used extensively in conjunction with credit card shaped graphics. An image library and a set of brand guidelines was created, ensuring that the creative application of images enforced the unique style.
The new branding was implemented across AIB Merchant Services’ range of stationary, marketing literature, and promotional material. The flexibility of the rebrand design parameters allowed Quick Brown Fox to create advertisements that integrated with the new branding. The AIB Merchant Services’ website served a dual function of informing customer and supporting agents and needed to have continuity in the supply of these services. The rebrand guidlines were successfully applied to the website.
